This cutting board looks absolutely gorgeous sitting on my counter! It’s extremely well crafted from thick, quality wood. You can tell someone took their time with it. The board is as functional as it is stunning. The super-thick wood, which is very smooth, has never splintered, even after multiple uses and cleanings. The engraving of “HOME SWEET HOME” on the sloped edge is impeccable. Four, non-skid feet on the bottom keep it from budging an inch while in use. I rinse it with very hot, soapy water after each use and set it right back on the counter to dry. An occasional rub with a little bit of olive oil on a cloth or paper towel helps keep it looking good as well. Packaging included a wooden sign engraved with a personal note, which made it feel like the board was literally made for me. What a nice touch! This would be a great gift for weddings, housewarmings, Christmas – really for any occasion – as you can customize the engraving on the sloped edge. The superior quality of the craftsmanship and materials make this something that will last and can be passed down for generations. I can’t remember the last time I said that about ANY product. The ONLY thing that would make this product better would be to include instructions for cleaning and care to ensure longevity. I just made up my own and they seem to be working. Other than that, it’s PERFECT. Plus, the company is family owned and located in Texas, USA!! If I could give it 6 stars, I would. I highly recommend this and it is definitely ALICIA APPROVED!
