Let me start by saying I’m an espresso beginner and this should be considered in my review. At this price point, I think it’s good. Temperature in the cup is consistently around 164 degrees and delivers a nice froth. Taste is strong but smooth without any off putting flavors or aftertastes. I feel like the brew is as expected. Cleaning and maintenance is easy. Everything rinses without any trouble, zero complaints about the hardware. The measuring cup and tamper work well.Flover has been really good. It produces a very smooth cup with no bad aftertaste, bitterness or unpleasant flavors. We’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and haven’t had a bad brew so for us, it’s seems very consistent.Cons: I really wish there was more clearance for larger cups. A riser for traditional espresso cups that’s removable to accommodate slightly larger cups would be a very welcome addition. You only have about 3.5 inches to fit a cup. It’s frustratingly short for my liking, I’d like to be able to fit a small cup and have a double shot in one cup.The fill isn’t extremely consistent, sometimes I’ll get a heavier pour in the right side which will pour over the small cups.Wife thinks the frothed could be better. It does take a bit of effort to open and close the handle, you have to fight with it to lock and unlock it. I suppose this is comes with the territory due to the high pressure it builds.Overall I’d recommend this as a starter machine. We’re giving this a try to see if we’ll use it enough to warrant the counter space it takes up. It gets you making good brews for a fraction of the cost of a high end machine. The temps and flavors are good with us but we’ve never been spoiled by a high end machine either. Writing the review made me want to make an espresso and it was great!
