Miele original Active AirClean filter (SF-AA 50) with timeStrip filter for vacuum cleaners Complete C2, Complete C3, Compact C1, Compact C2 Pack of 1

This filter fits the Miele New Complete C3 Cat & Dog Canister Vacuum Cleaner, purchased by my sister to clean after her 2 very fluffy Persian cats. Miele recommends that the filter be changed once a year or after about 50 hours of use. My sister had used the original filter for 2 years, by which time it was blackened by material from the carbon brushes in the motor (normal part of operation), even though the Timestrip indicator on the side of the filter was still green. An Internet search revealed that the user is supposed to press the green arrow to activate the Timestrip so it releases a red indicator fluid that fills the window; the filter needs to be replaced when the red color reaches the right end of the strip. No harm done; we replaced the original with a new Active AirClean 50 Filter and pressed the Timestrip this time, and enjoyed the fresher air after the first filter use. With Miele’s superb quality and the annual replacement schedule, this filter is a great value.
